Research shows that when families are supported and stress is reduced, the whole family is more likely to flourish.
Our family services program was developed to connect families with resources and supports that meet their needs, such as childcare and behavioral/ mental health services. We use these engagement opportunities to host listening sessions so we can know firsthand, the things that are vital for their success. That data is then used to identify resource gaps and barriers that prevent the utilization of current resources but also to help provide insight to policy makers on how families can better be supported.
Our program also connects community/ family based childcare providers (friends, family, neighbors) with the information they need to provide quality childcare. Ultimately, we want to empower caregivers, parents, and guardians to advocate in local and state decision making processes by offering them the opportunity to participate in parent leadership training programs.
