The Obodo Collective

Get help. Give help.

For the Community

We are local

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit focused on bringing structural, ongoing support to communities across the country. We aggregate the services of existing aid organizations at the community level into a central hub and identify those areas that are currently un-serviced and create new opportunities to address them.

Obodo believes that by combining the strengths of the disparate talents that exist to serve the community, we can better serve the whole community and be a unified voice as to our specific needs.

We foster partnerships between local nonprofits, connecting families to resources and resources to the people who need them.

Mutual Aid Networks

We have fostered a partnership between several local mutual aid networks to help the families who are unable to access COVID relief.

By working together with other local aid organizations to fundraise and distribute resources to the people who need it, we are addressing the eviction crisis triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Community Education

By sharing resources and vital information like our guide to fighting evictions, we are equipping the community with what it needs to survive.

Without knowledge of the resources and information that exists, people can’t access the help that is out there. By simply consolidating legal information and having it delivered to the people who need it on the ground and through social media, we are helping the community in a major way.
